A member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, ruled out the Brotherhood’s acceptance of implementing the Riyadh Agreement, sponsored by Saudi Arabia, between the council and the legitimate government.
Al-Awlaqi said, in a tweet on his Twitter account, "Those who think that the Brotherhood will give up their influence and control of legitimacy for the sake of the Riyadh Agreement do not understand the AB policy."
He added: Legitimacy was reduced within five years for the Brotherhood’s Islah Party and those identified with its project.
Al-Awlaqi added, "They now have private states, legitimate militias, oil and gas revenues, ports, and local banks that do not supply the Central Bank.
He concluded by saying: "I wish success and success for the efforts of the brothers in the Arab coalition."
