The governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, confirmed, on Wednesday, that the local authority provides all means of support for the judicial authority to play its role in the separation of litigants and to refer all those who tamper with the security and stability of the province to the judiciary.
During his meeting with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Dr. Ali Nasser Salem, and the Minister of Justice, Ali Haitham Al-Gharib, at the Judicial Complex in the capital, Aden, the governor stressed that all obstacles facing the work of judges and prosecutors should be removed by contacting the central operations of the governorate.
The meeting came days after the Specialized Criminal Court postponed the trial session of the defendants in the case of the assassination of Brigadier General Adnan Al Hammadi, commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, and issued a statement calling for "reforming the judiciary and saving the expenses and what is necessary", in a performance closer to political work than to the judiciary.
The meeting discussed the performance of the judicial authority in Aden, as well as the measures that have been taken to establish security and stability.
Governor Lamlas expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the judiciary and all judges and public prosecutors, for their prominent role in stabilizing security and stability.
In turn, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council affirmed, during the meeting, the support of the judiciary for all the efforts made by the governor of Aden to promote and improve services in the service of citizens, indicating that the judicial authority will not hesitate to expedite the trial of anyone who stands in the way of the progress and development of the governorate and to undermine its development and progress in order to obtain a deterrent penalty for what they committed it against the province and its residents.
Dr. Salem said that the judiciary will remain proud in the service of the homeland and the citizens and will not bend despite all the difficulties it has faced during the last period in the destruction of all courts, prosecutors, and judicial and administrative authorities as a result of the brutal war on Aden. Thanks to the support of the political leadership, it was able to rehabilitate most Courts and prosecution offices.
The meeting was attended by a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, head of the Appeals Court in Aden Governorate, Judge Fahim Abdullah Mohsen Al-Hadrami, Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Justice Abdul Karim Baabad, Ali Madid, and a number of officials in the judiciary and the Ministry of Justice.
