Shabwa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Shabwa has returned to an active base for the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, within the control of the Islah party militia - the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood - over the governorate.

The Elite Forces, which were formed with the support of the Arab Coalition Forces, carried out large-scale military campaigns against Al-Qaeda militants in Shabwa, and achieved great success in defeating the extremists.

However, the organization's elements have recently returned to work in many areas of the governorate, under the cover of local authorities loyal to the Brotherhood.

Many sources link the takeover of the "Brotherhood" militia over Shabwa and the re-emergence of terrorist organization elements in this governorate.

In the past two days, the atmosphere in Shabwa governorate witnessed an intense flight of American drones, in conjunction with the return of al-Qaeda elements from Abyan and Al-Bayda to Shabwah.

A responsible security source told "NewsYemen", that Al-Qaeda operatives began to move from the Al-Bayda and Abyan governorates to Shabwa, taking advantage of the Brotherhood’s militia’s control over the latter.

He pointed out that the militants of the organization did not conceal their presence in Shabwa, where the leader of al-Qaeda, Saad bin Atef, appeared in the Upper Egypt district while he was preaching to the people and was guarded by forces affiliated with the Brotherhood authorities in the district.

The source goes further when confirming that the Brotherhood authorities are mobilizing fighters belonging to extremist organizations under the name of the "National Army."

Another source told "NewsYemen" that Brotherhood leaders in Shabwa provided great facilities to the organization's elements by providing food and camps and facilitating their passage in exchange for secret agreements between them.
