Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has begun preparing an information and cultural plan aimed at reaching the young population and children who are mainly involved in primary and secondary schools.

Media sources told NewsYemen: The meeting included Houthi leaders from the Ministries of Education, Information, Endowments and Guidance, in addition to some leaders of the political and executive offices of the militias, and some media leaders devoted to discussing the subject of preparing a plan aimed at delivering the messages that the militia leaders want to the young and the youth, especially the involved students.  Within the framework of basic and secondary education or those who did not have the opportunity to enter education for many reasons.

The sources added that the leaders asked for a plan to be submitted that includes proposals on how to prepare, formulate and direct informational and cultural messages through the media to young people, students of basic and secondary education, and even those who have not been involved in education about issues and topics that represent the goals of the militia’s march, the most important of which is the subject of truth.  Divine rule, tutelage, and the glorification of Ali bin Abi Talib and his son Hussein, and political issues such as the need to support the so-called axis of resistance led by Iran in the region, and confront the pro-American countries, led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

According to the sources, the Houthi leaders indicated that their strategy targets these small segments due to the possibility of influencing them intellectually, culturally and religiously more, given that their minds are still more like white pages compared to those who are in the framework of university education or those who have graduated from it, and that if it succeeds, it will constitute success.  Significant to the march of the militias and their agenda in determining the future of the entire country.

It is noteworthy that the capital, Sanaa, and the Houthi militia-controlled areas are the most densely populated compared to the rest of the liberated areas that are administered by the legitimate government.

The numbers indicate that there are (750,000) male and female students in the primary and secondary stages in the capital, Sana'a alone, while a UNICEF report on the state of education in Yemen in March 2020 said that two million Yemeni children have become outside the educational system, compared to 5.8 million students who are still  Regularly attending their schools, and nearly 1.71 million children have been living in the governorates of displacement since the start of the war on March 26, 2015, and some of them were forced by living conditions to leave schools and join the labor market, and one in every 5 schools in Yemen can no longer be used as a direct result of the conflict.

According to the sources, the militia leaders have pointed to the need for the plan to be based on various aspects, including sending messages through schools, mosques, displacement camps, meetings and social events such as weddings and parties, in addition to Quran memorization centers, summer centers, and to take place in various villages, isolation, neighborhoods and governorates.

In light of these figures, the sources confirm that the Houthi militia seeks to establish new concepts among school students, young people, and even children and youth who were unable to enroll in education that serve their agenda on the one hand, and on the other hand, investing poverty and unemployment in recruiting as many children and youth as possible and putting them on the front lines and compensation for losses in the ranks of its militia.
