An engineering team of the joint forces dismantled a minefield and explosives left over from the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in Kilo 16, east of the city of Hodeidah, in the west of the country.
The Media Center for the Giants Brigades stated that the engineering team in the Fifth Brigade found a minefield and explosive remnants of what the Houthi militia had planted in the international line in the area of Kilo 16 before they were defeated.
The source pointed out that the engineering team dismantled the minefield after securing the area, moving it to a safe place, and carrying out a comprehensive survey in anticipation of any other mine networks.
The joint forces had dismantled in previous times fields of mines planted by the Houthi militia in large areas of the western coast, as part of their efforts to secure the lives of civilians.
