Demonstrators are calling for the arrest of a gang that tried to assassinate the president of Taiz University and his escort

Hundreds of students took part in a peaceful demonstration, on Sunday, to demand the local and security authorities to arrest those involved in the attempt to assassinate the president of Taiz University and the killing of his personal escort.
The demonstrators, on their peaceful march, expressed their deep regret at the continued reluctance of the security services and the leadership of the local authority to carry out their duty to arrest those involved in the assassination attempt on Dr. Muhammad Al-Shuaibi and the killing of his companion, Muwaffaq Al-Shamiri.
The demonstrators in the march, in which academics and activists participated along with students, condemned the continued insecurity in the city of Taiz, and the impunity for perpetrators of crimes, and expressed their condemnation of protecting the powerful for criminals.
An armed gang affiliated with a security outlet affiliated with the terrorist Brotherhood had attempted to assassinate Dr. Muhammad Al-Shuaibi, president of Taiz University two years ago, in Wadi Al-Qadhi, north of the city.
