A human rights source in Taiz said that a landmine planted by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, exploded this afternoon, Saturday, in a woman in the village of Al-Shaqab in the Sabr Al-Mawadim District.

The source added that the citizen Alima Ali Qaid (50 years old) was killed by a mine explosion in front of her house in the village of Al Shaqab Sabr.

A human rights report documented the killing of 20 civilians, including women and children, by militia mines this year.

The report also monitored the Houthi militia’s perpetration of more than sixty violations against the children of Al Shaqab region alone during the current year.

According to the report, out of this number, seven were killed, and the rest of them were all children, who were targeted by the militia with direct sniping and artillery shells.

Al Shaqab is located in the southeast of Taiz, and the militia controls a number of Tabab surrounding the area.
