Aden, NewsYemen:

On Saturday, the city of Aden hosted a stormy meeting between representatives of the legitimacy of the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeidah and the leadership of the international observer team, against the background of the massacres committed by the Houthi militia against civilians and the continuous escalation of violations of the ceasefire in Hodeidah.

Representatives of the government side in the Redeployment Coordination Committee met in Hodeidah, with the deputy head of the UN mission to monitor the ceasefire and coordinate redeployment, Daniela Crosslak, and the accompanying delegation, where they briefed the international observers team on the violations of the Houthi militia in Hodeidah governorate and the massacres committed by this militia, which killed 24 civilians, at least half of them are children, within a week, and the proposed headquarters for the work of the international observers mission are targeted.

The government side reviewed with the UN mission the obstacles that the mission faces. He said that the militia escalated its violations and committed the most heinous massacres, and created a great blessing of blood in front of the resumption of the work of the UN mission. He cited the new massacre that targeted the Thabit Brotherhood Industrial Complex, which was proposed to be a neutral headquarters for the mission’s work.

He said that this massacre is the closest to the residence of the head and observers of the UN "UNMHA" mission in Hodeidah, after the Houthi massacre in the Al-Faza area of Al-Durhaimi, which left nine dead and five wounded, all women and children, as a result of a similar heinous massacre on Al-Tuhaita Road that left 12 dead and wounded, and the day after the injury of a baby in Hays shot by a Houthi sniper.

He pointed out that the three massacres took place within one week, and the number of victims increased to more than 45 civilians, of whom at least 26 were killed, most of them children and women.

He said that these massacres should not go unpunished, as they come within an ongoing approach by which the Houthi militia punishes areas that reject its sectarian and terrorist ideology based on murder, forced displacement and the spread of sectarianism and racism, and it is evidence of its continuous rejection of all international and local efforts aimed at achieving peace.
