Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

On days like these, in December, summer of 2017, former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was leading an uprising against the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, in the north of the country, with the aim of ridding the country of the revolutionaries.

Although Saleh did not succeed in his uprising, he revealed the Houthis’s shame, that they do not accept “partnership”, and that they are just an armed militia far removed from the state’s thought, in addition to that this uprising has increased the isolation of the Houthis and expanded their enemies.

Today, the Houthis, in a narrow corner of the north of the country, without political cover or regional or international support, are waiting for their fall at any moment and day, especially since all Yemenis agree to drop their authority.

The Houthis' calculations were mistaken in believing that Saleh's death would be the end, as his death resulted in an increase in the number of opponents of the militia, which has become a nightmare for it.

Politician Abdullah Ismail said that the December uprising gained new momentum, and the Houthi movement showed its size, weak, worn out, and rejected idea.

He added: It also proved that in a moment of unification, the swelling of the dynasty fades and the republican action triumphs, and most importantly, it must be a continuous action that does not stop, and a way for everyone to build upon for victory, defining the enemy and defeating it.

For his part, the Leader of the National Resistance, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, recalled the December uprising and pledged to carry the weapons of courage, patriotism and faith, until the restoration of "Sanaa".

Tariq said: December will remain a memory and commitment, a voice in the mind and soul of every Yemeni reminiscent of the revolution that confronted the priesthood and tyranny in its power and weapons.

He continued: We had nothing but courage, patriotism and faith, and these are our weapons that we will not give up until "Sana'a" is restored, regardless of the sacrifices.
