The southern forces announced that the Brotherhood militia suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment in clashes that broke out in the Al-Tariya front in Abyan governorate.
The spokesman for the southern forces in the Abyan axis, al-Naqib Muhammad al-Naqib, said that violent battles broke out, at dawn on Thursday, in the al-Turayya front, resulting in the death of ten members of the Muslim Brotherhood militia and dozens of wounded.
Al-Naqib stated in a post on the social networking site Twitter that the artillery of the southern forces was destroyed in targeting the center of four vehicles (crews), a 23 cannon, and a kit that was carrying a 7/14 machine gun.
He pointed out that the terrorist Brotherhood militia tried to skirmish towards Al-Tariya, so the heroes of the southern forces started it with deadly confrontation fire.
He explained that the Muslim Brotherhood militia resorted to the attack to compensate for the losses and its retreating groups moved to try to launch an attack on the Berbera region of the left sector, and there the southern forces continued their painful strikes.
