Marib, NewsYemen:

A number of Houthi militia members were killed and others wounded, at dawn on Wednesday, in clashes with the army forces and the Murad tribes in the southwest of the Marib governorate.

A military source said that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia launched attacks on the outskirts of the Jabal Murad district, which the army and tribes forces managed to confront, and launched a counter-attack that caught the Houthis amid their fortifications.

He added: Violent clashes took place towards Al-Ikhla Wahid Al Ahmed as a result of the counter-attack, in which a number of Houthi elements were killed in locations where they were holed up and others were wounded, indicating that the bodies of the militia members are still in the reefs and valleys, and four others have been recovered.

The source pointed out that the battles between the two sides erupted simultaneously on the outskirts of the Juba Directorate, and reports indicate that the enemy's attacks were broken and many sites liberated with a similar counter-attack.
