The announcement of the Taiz Governorate Security Department that it had arrested a Houthi cell in the city center, as well as wanted security officers in Al-Maafar, was criticized and questioned the credibility of the repeated declarations of the Taiz police.
Lawyer Omar Al-Hamiri, commented on the Taiz security announcement with an inquiry, how many times did the police announce that Houthi cells had seized explosives, plans, weapons, and communications equipment in their possession. No file reached the judiciary and did not reveal the name of the accused?
Al-Hamiri said, on his Facebook page, months ago, the security campaign launched night raids and stormed homes and shops where workers live while they slept, and arrested dozens of construction workers, girls and stone saws without the prosecution’s permission and not being caught in a crime, and announced the arrest of Houthi cells with weapons, explosives and communications.
He added, and the movie “Arresting Ghosts” is repeated at night, and the morning becomes clear about police ignoring arrest warrants for those accused of serious crimes, and prosecutors have not heard about any cell or even a Houthi anklet that the police arrested and brought to trial as the only criterion for believing their news.
Al-Humairi said, Either the Taiz police lie and sell the illusion to the citizens, or they arrest dangerous Houthi cells and then release them!
He emphasized that the only truth today is that the largest percentage of criminal cases are investigated in the absence of the accused and tried in absentia (absconding from justice).
He added, "Let us respect the minds of the people and not drive the illusion in the name of national causes. Let us admit that the police are distracted from their work under the pretext that they are busy with the tasks of military intelligence, and thus the Military Intelligence and National Security are busy with security tasks."
He added, and the result is deliberate, targeted, and organized chaos, in which everyone who has abandoned his duty to arrest the hundreds of wanted security forces, and to play a film about the arrest of Houthi cells, as if people were to be believed.
And he said sarcastically, "This is Taiz ... the lane of drivers, you sellers of water and illusion."
Al-Hamiri published a picture of a security wanted person in a residence attended by a number of agents of Taiz, including Dr. Al-Mikhlafi, the deputy governor of Taiz.
Lawyer Tawfiq Al-Shabi commented on what his colleague Al-Hamiri put forward, saying that the police departments and security departments unfortunately contribute to all the imbalances that occur.
Yesterday, the Taiz Security Administration announced the arrest of wanted security officers in Al-Hujaria.
On the same day, the Brotherhood militia affiliated with the Taiz axis kidnapped the deputy director of Al-Mokha's security, Fadi Al-Barakani, and three soldiers of the 35th Armored Brigade from Al-Nashma, the center of the Al-Maafir District.
The kidnappings, which were active yesterday in Al-Hujaria, and carried out by the Brotherhood militia affiliated with the Taiz axis, came after the kidnapping of the commander of the Third Brigade, Guards of the Republic, in front of his house in the city of Al-Turbah, a day after the kidnapping of the officer in the 35th Armored Brigade, Akram Al-Senawi, from Al-Ain, and transferred him to a prison belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood in Taiz.
