A child was killed, on Friday morning, in the village of Al-Abous, in the district of Haifan, south of Taiz Governorate.
Local sources told NewsYemen that a projectile from the remnants of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, killed the ten-year-old child Bakr Wael Khalil, and injured two others.
The sources explained that the children found the projectile and played with it until it exploded, which caused the death of one of them and the injury of others, and their wounds were described as serious.
It is noteworthy that the Houthi militia planted hundreds of mines randomly in the Al-Abous isolation of the Haifan District, killing and wounding dozens of civilians.
The mines that the militia have intensified in laying them in a number of governorates have claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians amid the silence of international organizations working in the field of human rights.
