Bakran: The Brotherhood’s
Researcher and politician Saeed Abdullah Bakran confirmed, in an interview with “Our Causes” program, on “Al Ghad Al Mashreq” channel, that “the southern society is not qualified to embrace terrorist groups,” stressing that the presence of the Brotherhood in the legitimacy of the state and in the army and camps “facilitated the positioning of extremist groups in the southern governorates."
The episode discussed concerns about the country becoming a safe haven for transnational terrorist groups and how the administration of US President-elect Joe Biden will deal with the file of terrorism in Yemen.
Bakran said, "We have a long story with the Brotherhood and terrorism in the south."
He explained, "In the areas of Wadi Hadramout, the elements that carry out the assassination operations pass through the points and military positions of the legitimate forces and have not arrested any of them."
He continued: "The idea that the Brotherhood is present in the legitimacy and they are the makers of terrorism and the makers of terrorist arms such as Al Qaeda and others. This is neither an outcry nor an incursion against the group, but it is a reality that citizens have lived through since 1994."
