The Internet and "Yemen Mobile" services have went out in Mocha since 10 am on Saturday morning, due to a technical defect that left the network out of service.
A technical source in the Mocha branch of the Telecommunications Corporation stated that the terrestrial cable in an area, which has not been precisely defined, in the distance between Mafraq and Jabal Al-Nar and Mawza, was subjected to sabotage, and that engineers are trying to repair the communications network as a first stage, before moving on to repair the internet as a second stage.
It is expected that the process of repairing the network will take several days, and the reason is that the location of the malfunction has not been determined, and the subscribers of the social media and communications service lost the ability to use the network, since Saturday morning.
Banks in Mocha were closed, and some money exchange shops stopped, while some resorted to using the satellite Internet.
