A source in the Popular Resistance in Al-Bayda Governorate uncovered false allegations made by media affiliated with the Islah party to distort the positions of a military commander who had won an automatic popular solidarity campaign following the unjust imprisonment of a Marib security director in the Security Department.
The source said that the channels affiliated with the Islah party promoted that Brigadier General Muhammad Abdul Qawi al-Humaiqani (Abu Al-Zubair), commander of Al-Hayat Brigade, is fighting in Abyan governorate against the STC forces and its members.
Adding, in refuting this false claim, they themselves at the same time imprisoned him in the prisons of Marib, and his members are fighting the Houthi militia on the Jabal Murad front, south of the Marib governorate.
On Thursday, the Director of the Office of the Director of Security in Marib, Brigadier General Al-Humaiqani was imprisoned, after he was asked to implement a directive from the Ministry of Interior regarding a motorcycle belonging to his son.
On the other hand, the declared stances condemning the incident continued, as the Popular Resistance in Al-Bayda Governorate announced its strong condemnation and condemnation of the arrest of Brigadier General Muhammad Abdulqawi Al-Humaiqani by the Director of the Office of the Director of Marib Security, Muhammad Al-Hamiri.
In a statement published by its media center on Thursday evening, it described what Al-Hamiri had done as "an act condemned, provocative and condemned by all the free."
The statement reviewed the roles that Brigadier General Al-Humaiqani played in confronting the Houthi militias, adding, "He was one of the founders of the Haradh front at the beginning of the events, as well as he had a pioneering role with the heroes in the Dammaj region and participated and established with the heroes many fronts in the governorates of Aden, Taiz and Al-Bayda and now on the Marib fronts in Serwah and Qaniyah and today in Murad.
The statement of the leaders and members of the Al-Bayda Resistance demanded the Governor of Marib Governorate, Sheikh Sultan Al-Arada and all the honorable people in Marib Governorate to be dismissed as a result of this condemned and provocative act, considering what the so-called Al-Humayri had done as "an attack on all the people of Al-Bayda in particular and Yemen in general."
