Taiz governorate, which is under the control of the Brotherhood militia, topped the list of journalistic violations during the month of October.
The Media Freedom Observatory in Yemen said that it had documented five cases of violation of press freedoms last October, which varied between three attacks, one threatening case, and one case of prosecution of a journalist in Hadramout governorate.
The Observatory stated, in a report, that the recorded cases of violations were committed, four of them by parties in the government, and another case carried out by unknown persons.
The report, issued by the Rassd platform for advocating for journalists' issues, recorded three cases of violation in Taiz Governorate, one violation case in Sana'a Governorate, and the fifth in Hadramout Governorate.
The city of Taiz came at the forefront of the violations, as a result of the great insecurity that witnesses the liberated parts under the control of the Islah party, the spread of daily killings, and the expansion of the wave of violations by the Brotherhood and the Popular Mobilization factions.
