The Emirates Red Crescent Authority condemned the terrorist act that targeted its medical staff in the village of Yakhlal in Taiz governorate, on Tuesday.
The commission confirmed that targeting humanitarian workers represents a major violation of international norms, treaties and covenants.
It expressed her deep sorrow for the cowardly terrorist act in a statement condemning the shooting attack of her medical staff, working in mobile health care clinics.
The medical staff of the mobile clinic of the Emirates Red Crescent had escaped an assassination attempt that targeted them, during the field visit to provide free medical services in villages located between the districts of Mocha and Mawza, where gunmen fired the crew and the clinic with 6 bullets that penetrated the mobile vehicle, whose members consist of a doctor and an assistant doctor.
