Aden, NewsYemen:

Interim President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi called, on Tuesday evening, to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh agreement signed with the Southern Transitional Council, under the auspices of Saudi Arabia.

This came in a speech to Hadi, residing in Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the October 14, 1963 revolution against the British colonialism in southern Yemen, published by the official news agency Saba.

Hadi said: "Work is underway to implement an integrated strategy aimed at restoring the functioning of state institutions, by implementing the requirements of the Riyadh Agreement."

Hadi expressed his "hope for the speedy implementation of the rest of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement," without details.

He attributed this to the importance of devotion to unite efforts to confront the Houthis and provide services to the people.

Earlier, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council said that the council’s long-standing patience to make room for the efforts of the Arab coalition to force the legitimate government to implement its commitment to the Riyadh agreement has run out, adding that the Yemeni government does not pay any attention to these efforts."

They added that they expect the Arab coalition, in its capacity as the sponsor of the Riyadh Agreement, to oblige the other party (the legitimate government) to expedite the transfer of forces to the fronts and form the government, touch the concerns of people and raise their suffering through the provision of services and the pay of salaries and address the crisis of currency collapse, and the issues of retirees, deportees and teachers, in order to avoid the consequences of those files on the humanitarian and living situation in the liberated governorates.
