The local authority in the capital, Aden, has succeeded in providing diesel fuel to the electric power plants, which were about to stop due to the exhaustion of fuel.

A statement by the Aden Refineries Company stated that the ship, Trident Modesty, docked on Monday evening at Berth No. 3 of the company's oil port with 30,000 metric tons of diesel on board, indicating that the usual transactions are currently being carried out, calculating the quantity on board and taking samples for laboratory examination.

The statement added that after completing these transactions, the shipment will be unloaded and three thousand metric tons of diesel will be pumped directly into the oil company's tanks in order to be distributed to power stations urgently to face the fuel shortage.

In the context, a local source explained to (NewsYemen), that the entry of this ship belonging to Bamco came after the governor's directives to the Yemeni Oil Company in Aden to purchase 10 thousand metric tons of the quantity on board the ship and distribute it to the power stations.

According to the source, this quantity will suffice the power stations for about half a month.
