Abyan, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The struggle of officials in Al-Wadhea district, the birthplace of the Yemeni President, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in Abyan Governorate, has led to a deterioration of service conditions, especially health conditions.

During the past week, the directorate witnessed many protest demonstrations calling for the dismissal of the director of the health office in the district, affiliated with the “Hadi government” Abdullah Al-Hadar, and the general director of Al-Wadhea General Hospital, Dr. Abdulqadir Al-Danbou, accusing them of corruption and tampering with public money.

In this regard, the General Director of Al Wadhea Hospital in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, Dr. Abdulqadir Al-Danboa, accused the Director General of Al Wadhea Directorate, Nasser Samn, of being behind these demonstrations calling for his dismissal, referring in a statement to "NewsYemen" to the practices that the director general of the directorate is carrying out against the hospital administration for more than a year, which included inciting some hospital staff to obstruct work and try to remove him from his position, he said.

The demonstrators, who demonstrated at the end of last week, held the local authority in Abyan responsible for the tampering and looting of the Al Wadhea General Hospital of its medical equipment, the dismissal of distinguished doctors and their replacement with others who were not qualified, and other practices, demanding that they be referred for investigation.

In his interview with "NewsYemen", Abdullah Muqadeh, one of the sons of Al-Wadhea, said that there is a clear deterioration in services and the lack of some of them, as they were deprived of service projects and became suffering from a dire situation that they reached today.

This is confirmed by Nasser Muhammad, who indicated that the deterioration lies in the administrative and service laxity through the lack of commitment of doctors and employees to attendance, as they start their work in the morning and then leave, and here lies the suffering of patients in the hospital and the only facility in the directorate.

He adds, as it is represented by the difficulty of living life for many of the directorate’s people, and the directorate suffers from a lack of care, unlike other directorates, because it is from President Hadi’s town, and there are stalled service projects for a long time and the reason for their stumbling in the outbreak of the war launched by the Houthi coup militia against our country and not getting its share of projects, and this is what has increased our worries and suffering, and we hope to solve the directorate’s problems and alleviate the suffering of its citizens.

Al-Danbou’s statements reveal the extent of the conflict that the Al-Wadhea District is experiencing, which has negatively affected the level of services that are almost non-existent in light of the absence of the state and the continued escalation of the Muslim Brotherhood that has turned most of the villages and cities of Abyan into battlefields.
