Aden, NewsYemen:

The United Arab Emirates has played a prominent and salvaging role in Yemen since its intervention in the country within the coalition to support legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the summer of 2015.

In the summer of 2015, Aden was surprised by the declaration of war against it by the Houthi militia. The Emiratis came to be a support for the southern capital against the new invasion, and that intervention resulted in a victory for the city in record time.

The war on the Houthis was not the only problem that faced Aden, the city that was greatly affected by the war, as another problem appeared, represented by al-Qaeda and ISIS organizations, so that the Emiratis, in partnership with the southern forces, began to fight terrorism.

The Emiratis set out from the city of Aden, after securing it, to the rest of the southern governorates, including Abyan, Shabwa, the Hadramawt coast, and Lahj, especially since those governorates were in dire need of stability and the expulsion of terrorism from them.

With every region liberated in the south, the Emirates Red Crescent is present, providing relief aid to people.

Although the state of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, its tasks were to liberate Yemen from the Houthis and normalize life in the liberated areas, it completely absent from its duties, so that the UAE continues in the tender and rescue phase, heading towards the western coast of Yemen, through the formation of the Southern Giants Brigades, and later The National Resistance Forces, suffocating the Houthi militia, and liberating parts of Hodeidah Governorate.

The Yemeni politician Fahd Talib Al-Sharafi described the Emirati role within the framework of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen as important and pivotal.

Al-Sharafi told NewsYemen, that the UAE has been the most sincere, sacrificial and devoted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its important Arab project on the land of Yemen since the announcement of Decisive Storm.

He added: The UAE has launched its army, weapons, money, media, and political and economic weight from the first moments of the battle to liberate the temporary capital, Aden and beyond, and it was also present with the same momentum in the battles to defend Marib and Al-Jawf, as well as the Saudi and Yemeni forces in all axes.

Al-Sharafi believed that the UAE is the important pillar that carried with the big sister Saudi Arabia many of the burdens of the Yemeni file within the framework of the balance of international powers, and because of its strong and effective presence in Yemen, it faced many enemies other than the Houthi coup, as stated by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Emirati army at the celebration of the return of the Emirati forces, As he said, we faced three enemies, they are (the Houthi militia - Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorism - the Muslim Brotherhood).
