Mocha, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

On Sunday, the Secretary-General of the Ansi Local Council, Qassem Zaid Al-Habas, described the food aid as the only and main support for thousands of poor and displaced families in Mocha.

He told Newsyemen, while inaugurating the distribution of food aid to 8,585 families, that the food aid is a aid to families who have lost their source of livelihood as a result of the war sparked by the Houthi militia, especially the displaced.

Al-Ansi expressed his thanks to all those in charge of the distribution operations, calling for the elderly to be given priority.

For his part, Othman Tahoush, head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Local Council, said that thousands of families are no longer able, due to the militia war, to secure their food due to the lack of job opportunities and the loss of income sources.

He added that international organizations contribute mainly to helping these families return to their normal lives.

The food aid provided in the form of complete baskets at four distribution centers in Mocha contains one and a half bags of flour, two five-liter packages of oil, two bags of dates, sugar and table salt.
