Media close to the Houthi militia announced the holding of funeral ceremonies in Sana'a, at noon on Thursday, for the leader called Muhammad Abdulkarim Ahsan al-Hamran, known as "Abu Yusef," the leader of what it called "special forces."

It said that the "Al-Hamran", which belongs to the Majz district of Saada governorate, was killed in what it called "the battle of the long term" without mentioning any additional information.

For his part, an official source in Al-Bayda governorate said that Al-Hamran was killed in the air strike carried out by the coalition air forces in Al-Sawadiyah Directorate early this week.

Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Al-Hamaiqani, a member of the Executive Office of Al-Bayda Governorate, explained in a post on Facebook that "the strike of the Sawadiyah camp targeted Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Hamran, commander of the Special Forces, relative of Abdulmalik Al-Houthi."

News sources had revealed, at dawn on Saturday, the death of senior Houthi military leaders as a result of raids of coalition fighters targeting the brigade's 26th Infantry Camp in Sawadia.
