Newsyemen, Abdullah Al-Shadly:

Although medical sources warn of the possibility of cases of corona in Sana'a, Al-Houthi insisted on dealing with it as cases with the fever of what is known as the "Chikungunya" virus, while it quarantined some cases in the Mövenpick Hotel, which it seized a short time ago and announced its transformation into a quarantine.

Medical sources say: "The Houthi militia transferred 3 confirmed cases from Al-Jumhuri Hospital to the Mövenpick Hotel."

It added that there are 7 cases infected in Kuwait Hospital, and that a case was recently discovered in Al-Sunainah neighborhood, and the residents and neighbors were quarantined in their homes.

And with Al-Houthi's denial of the pandemic, media sources have monitored movements on the ground that contradict the allegations ... including that "security groups affiliated with the Capital last Wednesday closed the Bab al-Salam market in Sana'a, the oldest of the city's markets.

According to the sources, these forces have meant that citizens enter or exit the market and the surrounding neighborhoods after suspicious of the presence of Corona cases, and they sterilized the streets and alleys.

The same thing, according to the sources, was repeated in the past few days in the neighborhoods of Al-Hasba and Shumaila markets south of the city.

All of these events confirm the doubts of many of the followers on social media, that these measures confirm the presence of cases in Sana'a amidst severe discretion by the Houthi government.

The National Committee to Combat Corona, through its spokesperson, called the "Office of Humanitarian Affairs and the World Health Organization to pressure the Houthi militias to share information with absolute transparency and disclose the cases they have, out of moral responsibility and in order to protect Yemeni citizens."

The Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Iryani, had warned against the politicization of Houthi militia for the new corona pandemic file and its concealment of the number of casualties in its areas of control.

The Minister of Information said, "The Houthi militia conceals the size of the infection with the Coronavirus and exerts pressure on medical personnel in the hospitals of the capital, Sana'a, and its areas of control to not publish the facts and compel it to diagnose the cases as a result of infection with epidemics and other viruses," according to the official news agency Saba. .

Al-Iryani added: "The Houthi militia intentionally conceals the numbers of real infections with the Coronavirus to continue to plunder international aid and evade its responsibilities in protecting millions of citizens in its areas of control, evading international pressure aimed at a ceasefire by the militia and uniting efforts to confront the virus."

Al-Iryani made an urgent appeal to the United Nations and the World Health Organization to intervene and pressure the Houthi militia to reveal the real numbers of the virus, reveal public opinion and deal transparently with all information related to the epidemic so that citizens can take their precautions.

In turn, the Ministry of Public Health and Population expressed its concern about the fears expressed by the Office of the United Nations Coordinator of the possibility of an outbreak of the Corona virus in the capital, which is controlled by the coupists, and that their militias conceal such a very dangerous matter, as they are known to be indifferent to the humanitarian side and the lives of Yemenis .

The Ministry said in a statement: "The Ministry of Health has followed with great interest the statement issued by the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen on Tuesday, which disclosed its concerns about the outbreak of the emerging corona disease in Yemen and the possibility that it had spread in areas controlled by the Houthi militia. Insurgent without being discovered.

"

The Ministry, at the same time, was surprised by the indulgence of the Office of the United Nations Coordinator in Yemen, in its dealings with the actions of the Houthi militia that threatens the lives of people, and the soft language towards the blackout that they are practicing that is not consistent with the directives of the World Health Organization.

"Based on the government's awareness of its national and humanitarian responsibilities regarding the outbreak of this pandemic, the Ministry of Health is committed to announcing any cases that are monitored or suspected, as a moral obligation adopted by the National Emergency Committee, realizing that the first means of protecting society in transparency and openness, which we have been doing since the beginning".

"While we are still waiting for what the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator will provide to Yemen in the face of the pandemic, we will make all efforts hoping to provide support and assistance, and they also have a responsibility to clarify what is happening, and hold Houthi militia responsible for the results it conceals," the ministry added. Because of the humanitarian disaster that may leave it, and work to examine suspected cases, openness to society and clarification of public opinion, and to ensure that the epidemic is not politicized or obscured by infections.
