The city of Marib was subjected to missile bombardment by the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, on Wednesday night, shortly before the start of a truce announced by the Arab coalition.
Local and media sources from Marib said that a ballistic missile hit residential neighborhoods.
There were no immediate details of the damage and casualties, but activists have reported casualties from the missile strike.
The Saudi-led coalition announced a comprehensive two-week ceasefire in Yemen to counter the consequences of the Corunavirus outbreak, and affirmed that the opportunity was created for a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire.
