The head of the government team talked about a dangerous escalation of the Houthi militias threatening to blow up the Stockholm agreement and return matters to square one, and said that we cannot stand idly by against the violations of the Iranian arm militia in Hodeidah.

He pointed out that, since the deployment of control points to the liaison officers in October last year, representatives of the joint forces in the control points were subjected to systematic targeting by the Houthi militias in a clear affirmation of the militia's refusal to delinquish the peace we seek and for which the government team was keen not to be drawn into the violence that the militias tried to drag us into, by daily violations and escalation.


The head of the government team on the Coordination Committee for the Redeployment of Houthi Militias warned against the consequences of continuing such attacks, which we cannot stand idly by.

They held the Houthi militias fully responsible for this serious military escalation and its repercussions, calling on the United Nations, the UN envoy to Yemen and the UN monitoring team in Hodeidah to define a clear and explicit position on such flagrant violations of the Stockholm Agreement.
