Houthi disputes and accusations of the militia leader's office of corruption

 Sources close to the Houthi militia said that disputes arose between the Minister of Finance in the Houthi government and the head of the Tax Authority on issues related to a major financial corruption process.


The sources added: The dispute between Finance Minister Sharaf al-Din al-Kahlani and the head of the Tax Authority, Hashem al-Shami, both leaders of the Houthi militia, is due to financial corruption cases practiced by the Tax Authority, at a time when Finance Minister Houthi Al-Kahlani seeks to obtain his share of corruption practiced in the interest of taxes


According to the sources, the Minister of Finance, Al-Kahalani, suspended the budget of the Tax Authority, and instructed the bank in Sana'a to stop the disbursement of any allocations to the Tax Authority except under his guidance, requesting at the same time the Presidency of the Tax Authority, which is led by the other Houthi leader Hashem Al-Shami, detailed reports on the amount of revenue received  It has the Tax Authority, and where it is supplied .. which the latter rejected, saying to the Minister of Finance, calculate the office of al-Sayyid, referring to the office of militia leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, who sources confirm is that he controls the exchange of revenues that the tax authority collects instead of the Ministry of Finance and without the knowledge of the rescue government that  It is managed by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor.


The sources pointed out that the corruption process accused by the tax authority is estimated at hundreds of millions of riyals that are collected from various institutions, government agencies, the private sector and senior taxpayers and no one knows where the money is supplied or where it goes, noting that there is significant financial corruption practiced by the head of the Tax Authority and the office of the militia leader  Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.
