The Joint Forces crush a Houthi escalation in Hodeidah

The joint forces in the West Coast thwarted, on Sunday evening, an infiltration attempt carried out by the Houthi militia, on its sites in the city of Al-Saleh, east of the city of Hodeidah and in the framework of the joint control points for the liaison officers.


The military escalation of militias in the city of Hodeidah came to coincide with various violations and attacks in the south of the governorate that continued on Sunday, while the Arab coalition announced thwarting a naval attack by a guided boat in the south of the Red Sea and destroying sea mines in the way of international navigation.

 Field sources in Hodeidah said that the militias attempted to infiltrate and advance towards the joint forces ’sites in the city of Al-Saleh, after extensive bombings and fire coverage towards the sites.


It added that the joint forces units stationed in the area responded to the militia infiltration and the Houthis suffered heavy losses in equipment and lives.

 The sources indicated that the Houthi militia attempted to infiltrate into an area that falls under the control of the Liaison Point for the Second Joint Committee east of Al-Saleh.

 On Sunday, the coalition spokesman confirmed that the Houthi militia used a launching pad to carry out missile and drones attacks in violation of UN resolutions, peace agreements and repeated pledges to stop threatening international shipping lines.


On Sunday, militias launched operations targeting residential villages in the mountainous area of   the district of Al-Tahita, south of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, with various types of medium weapons, weapon 14.5, weapon 12.7, and pica rate weapon in a hysterical manner, and fired weapons at citizens ’homes on the outskirts of the region, and also targeted citizens passing on public roads  Sub and farms.
