Brigadier Tariq Saleh stressed the importance of the national and scientific role that the academics of Hodeidah University should play in facing the priestly project and preparing a Yemeni generation to keep pace with the developments of the times, free from the myths of the past that our people buried in the September 26, 1962 revolution.

He said that "the homeland suffers and the people suffer, and university professors suffer and are subject to direct targeting by the priesthood bats of darkness, but we are confident that our people will prevail over the enemies of life, as long as academics and professors stand with their people and bravely resist trying to turn these scientific edifices into dens of ignorance, intolerance, extremism and terrorism."
