The Directorate of Maoza' decided to prevent shootings at weddings and public and private events, due to the risks they pose to the life of the citizen, and imposed financial penalties on those who do not.

The director of the directorate, Abdul Karim Haidar, said at a meeting of members of the local council and executive office managers and social figures, that the shooting and random resulting in serious damage paid by the citizen, referring to the deaths of two people in a shooting at a wedding in the directorate.

Stopping this phenomenon is everyone's responsibility, he said, and that it will be dealt with and eliminated if the people comply, and how they stand with the local authority in the directorate in combating the phenomenon.

The meeting called on the commanders of military units to arrest the soldiers and prevent them from firing indiscriminately.

At the end of January, two citizens were killed in a shooting during a wedding ceremony in the directorate.

The incident sparked widespread anger among residents, who said that the shooting took place on a daily basis and raised alarm for fear of indiscriminate shootings.
