The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, offered the release of two kidnapped journalists in its prisons in Sana'a, in exchange for the release of its prisoners of war.

Abdulbasit Ghazi, the lawyer for the kidnapped journalists of the Houthis, said that the militia submitted an initiative to release them, in exchange for the release of 10 of its prisoners.

On his Facebook account, Ghazi declared that the Houthis agreed to release the 10 journalists in exchange for the legal government to release 10 of their prisoners, including media personnel.

"Will legitimacy respond to this initiative, or will it delay until journalists die in prison," he added.
