Speaking after the end of the Yemeni national team in the 24th Gulf Arab Cup, Yemeni national team coach Sami Al-Naash talked about the last game against Iraq: "The new players and the goalkeeper have been a strong addition to the team against Iraq,"

He added: "Yemen's performance has evolved from one game to another despite the huge loss of six-way to Qatar."

He explained that "the games in the Gulf championship is different, and we have had strong confrontations and we have three encounters in the double qualifiers and we are seeking to achieve good results, the team needs to prepare distinctly, and no doubt that the team benefited from participating in the Gulf championship."

“The team is renewing its confidence with consecutive games, all the results are possible, but the performance is improving from one game to another, '' he said.

As for the upcoming Asian qualifiers: "The Gulf Cup matches are different from the qualifiers that await us two important games against Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia and then we will meet the Palestinian team as well, the preparation is linked to the financial aspect and arrangement with the Yemeni Federation because it is responsible for the preparation of the team."
