As the first semester draws to a close, students in Mouze’ department are still unable to access textbooks, a problem that has overshadowed the entire educational process and it is a difficult challenge to address because of the absence of a real and effective role of the Ministry of Education.

"We are not talking about the quality and efficiency of education in the current circumstances, but about the means to run the educational process and with the least available resources," said Zaid Ahmad Al-Kraisi, head of Kuwait High School.

He adds, the textbook is one of the most important elements that must be available at the beginning of the school year to create a correct learning environment, and despite the fact that schools of Mouze’ like other schools in the liberated areas made the decision to retrieve the textbook from the student at the end of the year years ago, and this was feasible previously, when we get 50 per cent of the books intact and in recent years the books have become worn and damaged for frequent use and is no longer feasible.

He stressed that the deficit in the textbook has a negative impact on the educational process, there is no education without a book, the exams are soon, and the student did not get the books, so we complained about poor achievement and a decline in the level of student achievement.

He demanded the Education Bureau and the local council in the directorate to quickly take measures to provide the school curriculum.
