Houthi militias on Thursday targeted residential neighborhoods and houses of citizens in Hays district, south of Hodeidah governorate, with medium weapons and snipers.
Local sources in Hays said that residential neighborhoods and homes of citizens were targeted with medium machine guns, including 14.5 weapons and 12.7 weapons intensively.
The sources confirmed that the militiamen opened sniper fire towards citizens passing by on the roads leading to Hays, noon on Thursday, leaving a state of fear and panic among citizens.
In the context, the militias continued to target joint forces positions in the coastal area of Faza of the Directorate of Tahita.
Military sources in al-Faza said that the militias targeted the positions of the joint forces with heavy weapons type M-23 caliber violently.
Sources added that the militias opened fire with 14.5-caliber machine guns and 12.7-caliber weapons on other positions east of the area.
