A child dies of dengue fever east of Mocha

A child has died of dengue fever in the village of Shathelya, east of Mocha district, bringing the death toll to about eight.

According to local sources six-month-old Mohammed Saddam Arar died hours after arriving at a hospital
Mocha for treatment.

The source added that "Arar" had a high fever a few days ago, but the lack of awareness of the seriousness of the disease and the lack of awareness of the people posed by dengue fever on the risk of a real tragedy.

With the death of Arar, the number of people killed in the epidemic rises to eight, according to statistics documented by Newsyemen.

Dengue fever has killed three children, and dozens of people have been infected in the Najiba area east of Mocha, prompting local authorities, health facilities and the UAE Red Crescent to send mobile medical clinics to contain the epidemic.
