Saudi Arabia has said that the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen is fully committed in its military operations to the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

This came in the words of the Head of the Humanitarian Affairs Department in the Permanent Mission of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva Fahd bin Mnikher in a speech to the Human Rights Council on Thursday.

"The Arab Coalition is committed to conducting the necessary investigation into any incidents surrounding allegations of violations or violations during military operations, and to prosecute those found guilty of any violations," said Mnekhir.

He pointed out that his country continues to provide relief and development support to the Yemeni people, noting that the Kingdom contributed during this year an amount of $ 750 million in the humanitarian response plan for Yemen, in addition to the contribution of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action through the project (pore) in the removal of more than  91,000 mines, protection and rehabilitation of children caught in the fighting recruited by the Iranian Houthi militia in Yemen.

The Saudi official affirmed Saudi Arabia's support for the efforts of UN envoy Martin Griffiths to reach a political solution to the Yemen crisis based on the Gulf Initiative, the results of the National Dialogue Conference, and Security Council Resolution 2216, pointing out the importance of concerted international efforts to pressure the Houthi militias to compel them to comply with the peace dues.
