Houthi militias ban Internet networks in Hamdan, calling it soft war

The Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, have banned terrestrial Internet service networks in Hamdan district, northwest of Sana'a province, and claimed it as "part of the soft war
A local source said that the security director of Hamdan district, appointed by the Houthi militias and a Houthi supervisor as well, led a campaign to remove commercial networks provides Internet service in Wadea villages in Hamdan
He added that the Houthis justified the move that "Internet networks represent a soft war to corrupt young people and distract them from the holy jihad and facilitate communication and relations between young men and women
A senior Houthi leader sent a thanks letter to the Security director and the militias supervisor in Hamdan district in Sana'a province for shutting down the internet
