On al-Tahrir Street in Taiz city, Basheer Saleh began his work as a street vendor selling goods for pedestrians for the people of the city and for those who came to Taiz to buy goods, that was before 22 years when he was 13 years old.
After two years of working in Taiz streets, he was fed up with chases or by Police, he thought to find an alternative city which led him to go to Mocha city in the same province.
Mocha city give him an opportunity to become one of the young businessmen. He continued to work as a street vendor among its neighborhoods, and was keen to save money and save it until his money capital reached, after two years, about Y.R 1,200,000.
Basheer said, when he was 17 years, " I bought a car that carried and sold everything I could sell clothes, accessories, perfumes and toiletries.
After a short period of time, he moved to al-Maeni neighborhood to open a shop then he moved to open a large shop on the main street among textiles, perfumes, toiletries and ready-made clothes.
Years of hardworking, the young boy, who came from one of the rural areas in Taiz province, his shop was full of all commercial items to allow him to build three houses due to profits he earned.
Unfortunately, a Houthi projectile fell on his stop, burning the shop completely, which made him disappointed, but his long business experience facilitated the matter to return to markets and return to trade.
He concluded an agreement to be a partner with one of his brothers, currently, the shop's money capital reached Y.R 10,000,000.
Basheer is currently preparing to open two clothing shops on the public street, hoping to expand his trade to include other business items.
Basheer currently owns four houses and another building under construction, he said, perseverance, diligence, and determination are key factors behind his success, adding trade grows with those who possess those qualities.
Basheer has as a great business sense that he took his spare times to work in a real estate field, he said it is very profitable which might be encouraged him to think opening a real estate office in the future.
