Abductors of Taiz military police chief demand release of detainee

Taiz Military Police Chief Jamal al-Shamiri is still kidnapped and no deal has been reached with kidnappers, despite the intervention of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Hamdi Shukri and other military leaders, a military source told Newsyemen on Sunday.

The source added the kidnappers are demanding the release of a detainee at the Security in Taiz province. Authorities in Taiz accused the detainee of killing a number of officers and soldiers of the National Army and his file was referred to the judiciary.

The source pointed out that the kidnappers justified their demand to release the detainee because his brother was martyred on the West Coast, and there is no a sponsor for a family of the martyr, including his sisters.

In the same context, the source did not deny the injury of an adviser of Taiz military axis the commander of the axis Abdu Farhan, known by Salim, and attributed his injury during the military operation in the western front of Taiz city two days ago.
