Militias take step in changing curricula of education, higher education, technical education

Newsyemen was informed by sources at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Education, and Technical Education and Vocational Training, run by the Houthi militias in Sana'a, that the militias intend to make a comprehensive change to the curricula at the level of primary, secondary schools, universities, and technical institutes.

The sources said that a meeting gathered the Houthi leader Mahmoud Abdulqader al-Junaid, the head the so-called "Executive Office of the National Vision" and the leadership of the ministries of higher education and scientific research, education, technical education and vocational training, to prepare for the development of an alternative curricula instead of the current curricula.

Al-Junaid talked about the need to change the recent curricula of schools, universities and institutes of technical education and vocational training.

According to al-Junaid the recent curricula are "far from the nation's issues and inappropriate for the current stage, and provide a false history of great Yemen," sources said.

The Houthi meeting ended forming  a committee to undertake the task of preparing new approaches according to the Houthi vision, and raising the full vision of the mechanism of changing curriculum
