Houthis set up customs post in Saqam south of Hais district, al-Hodeida

The Houthi militias established a customs post in Saqam area, south of Hais city, southern al-Hodeida province.

Truck drivers said that they had to cut a dirt road from Mawshaj area south of al-Khukha till Saqam area, south of Hais district.

The Houthi militias imposed big fees on cement, foodstuffs and woods coming from Aden.  

A driver said that the Houthi militias forced him to pay about Y.R 150,000, equivalent to  Y.R 180 for every bag of cement, as the truck carries 800 bags of cement.

Local residents living in Dhami area, which runs between Al-Khukha and Hais districts, said a truck was damaged and the cargo on board was damaged by a Houthi landmine.
