Houthis controls Halmous mountain amid withdrawal of tribal fighters in al-Baida

The Houthi militias managed on Wednesday to take control of the  strategic mountain in al-Zaher district in al-Baida province after 6 days of fierce fighting with members of the Popular Resistance.

According to local sources, the Houthi militias launched a fierce attack on the Popular Resistance sites stationed in the strategic Mountain of Halmous in the district.

The sources confirmed the withdrawal of tribal fighters of al-Omar and al-Humaiqan from the mountain after heavy fighting with the Houthi militias that attacked with heavy fire of tank shells, BMB missiles and 23 weapon-machine.

According to the sources, the Houthis suffered large casualties, dead and wounded, while killing one of the Resistance fighter was killed and number were injured.

It is noteworthy that Halmous is the strategic Mountain overlooking the Resistance sites in Dhi Na'em district, and also overlooking the first areas of the province of Lahj, the area of al-Nasefah and some areas of Had Yafai.
