Security sources said to Newsyemen that the Houthi militias began recruiting young men and students from different districts and areas in al-Hodeida province for at least in three camps.

The armed militias used the intensive mobilization in the northern and eastern districts of al-Hodeida to send a large number of citizens, mostly young people and students to the recruitment camps.

The sources said the militias recruited to join the central security forces, the General security forces and the Coast Guard.

Other recruiters were brought from outside al-Hodeida to join the recruitment camps.

Al-Garrahi district, the Houthi militias carry out obligatory recruitment campaigns among the citizens, especially young people and students (12- 30 years).

According to local testimonies and sources, a arrests campaign and raids targeted young men and minors who fled and hid for their refusal to recruit.

Residents said: "The Houthi militants took a number of young people and students aboard military vehicles to unknown destinations."
