Free Zone Customs revenues in Aden exceed Y.R 70 billion

Mohsen Qahtan, a General Manager of Aden Free Zone Customs, said that free zone customs revenues exceeded Y.R 70,300,000,000 last year, 2018, an increase of 8% over the previous year.
Qahtan said in a press statement that the growth in revenues came after the expansion of the customs area to accommodate large containers, in the fourth quarter of 2018, an area of 65,000 square meters.
The General Manager pointed out that the Free Zone Customs is preparing to activate the Economic Operator Program that gives merchants who do not have legal obligations or violations to release their containers.
