Cholera spreads in al-Mahweet, 21,000 cases are registered

The number of cholera patients in al-Mahweet province has risen to more than 21,000 this year, of whom 27 have died, statistics at the Health Ministry's office in the province said.

The outbreak coincided with a lack of capacity and the urgent need to establish centers to treat acute diarrhea and cholera in the affected districts by the epidemic.
The statistics distributed among districts: 1388 cases in al-Mahweet, 3798 in al-Taweelah, 2827 cases in Jabal al-Mahweet, 2453 cases in Shebam Kakban, 2483 cases in Bani Saad, 2218 in al-Khabt, 1310 cases in Hufash, 2812 cases in Malahan, 1488 in al-Rugom.
