Al-Maliki: Houthis halt five ships to enter al-Hodaidah port

The Arab Coalition said on Monday that the Houthi militia had obstructed the entry of ships to the port of al-Hodaidah, stressing that the port had been free of ships for three days.
During the last 72 hours, the Coalition issued 14 permits for ships heading to the Yemeni ports carrying food and oil products, the Arab Alliance spokesman Turki al-Maliki said.
He added that the Coalition issued 23 air permits, 6 land permits and 61 permits to protect convoys, "noting that the total permits granted by the Coalition during the past 72 hours amounted to 104 permits.
Turki al-Maliki said that there are five ships waiting to enter the ports of al-Hodaidah and Salef, and awaiting period now is 26 days."
Houthi militias disrupted the entry and unloading the five ships reflects its insistence on doubling the suffering of the Yemeni people and exacerbating the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.
The Coalition spokesman said that the Houthi militias continued to recruit children in order to fight in the Houthi military fronts, noting that the Coalition saved 102 children who were arrested at the military fronts.
The 102 children were rehabilitated by the Arab Coalition then they were delivered to the Yemeni government.
He stressed that the Coalition also takes part in the military operations against terrorist cells belonging to "al-Qaeda" and "Daesh."
