The Houthi militia covers its sectarian activities in black

The terrorist Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, held sectarian events, seminars and rallies on the occasion of Ashura in Sanaa and the cities under its control.
Local sources in Sana'a told NewsYemen that the Houthi militias obliged the preachers and imams of mosques and the educational and administrative staff in mosques and government schools in Sana'a and the cities under their control to hold sectarian events and symposia on the occasion of Ashura's commemoration of "Hussain's killing" and the mobilization of citizens, both men and women, to attend is mandatory.
The sources pointed out that the militia forced Aqal Al-Harat and neighborhood sheikhs in Sanaa districts to mobilize citizens to attend its march in Al-Matar neighborhood on the occasion of Ashura commemoration, and prompted all employees of the kidnapped government institutions and school students to participate in its sectarian march, which was attended by prominent Houthi leaders. Many of the attendees wore black clothes and turbans and tied on their heads are the slogans "Labbaik Ya Hussain"
The sources added that the Houthis decorated squares and streets in Sana'a and in many cities under their control with brochures and green and white clippings, and printed huge billboards, pictures and large banners bearing sectarian slogans in Sana'a, in a move that angered many citizens in the Yemeni street, millions of whom are facing the threat of starvation and the spread of poverty and unemployment as a result of depriving them of their salaries.
According to the sources, Houthi leaders who recently returned from Iran are residing in a number of looted villas in remote neighborhoods in the Al-Khamseen districts, south of Sanaa, with “Husseiniyat” in the presence of dozens of militia members, most of whom are from the dynasty and students who returned in the past months from Tehran, Baghdad, Karbala, and Qom.
According to the sources, Houthi leaders in the women’s department in the group’s political office and others within the so-called “Zeinabiyat” gather a large number of women, especially girls and young women belonging to dynastic families, to establish “Husseiniyat” in several houses in the Al-Jarf neighborhood - which is the group's largest stronghold in Sana'a - and one of the houses in the old city of Sanaa.
She pointed out that the militias impose strict security on the "Husseinat" and prevent the entry of mobile phone users for fear of leaking any video clips. The “Husseinat” covered in black and the banners of Hassan and Hussein were raised inside were designated to teach their visitors to perform rituals and chant strange sectarian chants and laments on the occasion of Ashura, and to practice these rituals alien to Yemenis, which have been held in public for more than three years.
In Al-Mahwit, the militia covered the venue for its activities, which it held in one of the schools in Al-Mahwit city, in black, expressing sadness and sorrow for the killing of Al-Hussein, in a scene similar to what the Shiites of Karbala are doing that the community has known only since the Houthi militia invaded Sana’a on September 21, 2014.
In this context, merchants in Sana'a accused the Houthi militia of deliberately exerting various forms of pressure on them and financial extortion and on their colleagues in order to loot their money under various names, including the Ashura commemoration, the war effort, the martyr's week, the cry memory, the anniversary of the coup, the state day, the birth of the Prophet and others.
It is mentioned that the day of Ashura is the tenth day of the month of Muharram in the Hijri calendar, and it is called by Muslims the day of Ashura, the day on which God saved Moses from Pharaoh, and this day coincides with the anniversary of the killing of Hussein bin Ali, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in the Battle of Karbala Therefore, the Shiite sects consider it a day of mourning and sadness, during which its followers perform rituals of their own, and some of them perform sectarian rituals, and some beat themselves with chains and swords until blood bleeds from them, according to their claim, out of grief and revenge against the killers of Hussein.
Every year, the Yemeni Houthi militia sets back centuries, to resurrect historical and political conflicts over rule that are more than 1,400 years old, unrelated to religion, and spend billions of riyals of Yemeni money on reviving dozens of sectarian activities that God has not sent, in light of depriving citizens of building projects, maintaining facilities and roads, providing basic services, and refusing to pay employees’ salaries for the seventh year in a row.
