Shabwa, NewsYemen, private:

Politicians, academics and tribal leaders in Shabwa affirmed their support for the decisions of the governorate's governor, head of the security committee, "Awad Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki", which came to address the causes of the clashes that took place last month between the Special Security Forces and the Shabwa Defense Forces in Ataq.

The governor of Shabwa had issued a decision to dismiss Brigadier General Abd Rabbo Lakab, commander of the so-called special forces loyal to the Brotherhood.  And the commander of its camp in Ataq, Ahmed Muhammad Daraan, while Brigadier General Wajdi Baoum, commander of the Second Brigade Defense of Shabwa, was still suspended, against the background of the recent clashes that resulted in deaths and injuries.

Bin al-Wazir also directed to prevent Nasser al-Sharif, the director of Laakab's office, from entering the Special Forces camp and not to deal with him at all.

Commenting on the decisions, the tribal leader in Shabwa governorate, Salem Al-Khulaifi, said in a tweet on Twitter: "The honorable sons of Shabwa stand by the governor, and everyone supports the courageous decisions that restore the state's prestige and strength and preserve security, stability and development."

Al-Khulaifi said, "Shabwa is above all considerations."

In the context, the academic, "Hussein Al-Diyani", said that "the governor's decision (the governor of Shabwa) is valid for young and old."

Al-Diyani added in a tweet on "Twitter": "The security and stability of Shabwa is a red line."

Al-Diyani considered that "the decision to dismiss La'aqb saved his face, adding: "The governor could have fired him and referred him to an investigation into all the crimes and abuses he committed during his tenure."

In turn, human rights activist Anis al-Sharek praised the decisions of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, saying that "Laakab should have been referred for investigation."

The partner said, "The dismissal of Brigadier General Laakab Al-Sharif, commander of Shabwa's special forces, is a wise decision by Governor Bin Al-Wazir, and it is not sufficient if he is not transferred for investigation and trial for the violations and grave crimes he committed in Shabwa."
