Aden, NewsYemen:

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin denounced the attack carried out by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the United Arab Emirates, stressing at the same time the United States' commitment to the UAE's security and strengthening its capabilities to defend itself.

"The United States has a solid partnership with the UAE and we are in an ongoing discussion about security relations and improving their capabilities to defend themselves," said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.  As reported by Al Arabiya.

Kirby added that "the Houthis are behind the terrorist attack on the UAE," stressing that "there is no specific information about the Americans being at risk during this attack."

He stressed that the danger of booby-trapped marches is serious, and there is a full effort by the Americans, partners and allies, but no one can guarantee a complete result to confront that danger.

On Monday, the United States pledged to hold the Iran-backed Houthi militias accountable, which claimed responsibility for the Abu Dhabi airport attack, which killed three civilians.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement that Washington strongly condemns the attack, which he described as a "terrorist" attack on civilian facilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

"We will work with the UAE and international partners to hold the Houthis accountable," he added, stressing America's commitment to the security of the UAE, and we stand by our Emirati partners in the face of all threats to their lands.
